with the great benefit of 27 years experience in the field of
Intellectual Property
services (which comprises Patents, Trade Marks, Designs, Copyright) gained with two long
established
UK firms of international repute. I was with my last firm for 18 years and specialized in trade
marks. I can also advise on related copyright and design matters but
not patents - you should consult a qualified Patent Attorney. I have
been a UK Registered Trade Mark Attorney since 1991 and
since 1996 a European Trade Mark Attorney (Professional Representative
before OHIM - Community Trade Marks Registry- in Alicante, Spain). I
have a Diploma in Engineering Technology from the University College
Salford. I have acted professionally on trade marks and related matters for a wide range of clients from small local firms to international corporations, operating in many different fields such as computer software and hardware, clothing, decorative products, window blind components, food and drink, luggage, hair and body care products, to name just a few. I am also familiar with representing the UK trade mark interests of the clients of overseas Attorneys. In addition I am experienced in advising individuals starting up new businesses on the do's and don'ts of adopting and protecting the trade marks used in their business. Over the years I have gained a great deal of knowledge and experience in dealing with a wide variety of trade mark issues including but not limited to official filing requirements (particularly those of the UK Registry, the Community Registry, the United States Patent and Trade Mark Office), answering official objections, obtaining letters of consent, client representation at UK Registry hearings, filing/responding to oppositions, negotiating settlement agreements, advising on infringements including sending cease-and-desist letters, instructing Counsel etc. The aim of my consultancy is to use the knowledge and experience that I have gained to provide clients with professional advice and assistance on trade mark matters in a practical, business oriented and cost-effective manner. |
